It's been a while

Trying to be a Digital Dad is tough -- I've done the blog thing, the Facebook thing and it is hard to keep everyone up to date on Evan and Owen. Since my last post, the holidays have come and gone, we've had several cold/flu outbreaks -- including a stomach bug at Nana and Papa's Christmas celebration. That was an ugly sight -- needless to say that party didn't last long.

Evan and Owen are doing great. They climb like little monkeys, ride their toys up and down the hall and they fight all the time. They fight over toys, who is holding Mom & Dad, who has what book..... you get the drift.

I guess that is just part of having 2 boys at the same age.

Our next hurdle is speech. They are both a little behind. We have the Momma, Dada, Kitty, Nana, Papa words, but that is about it. It is almost as if they know how to speak, but don't want to. We can lay down flash cards on the floor and ask, "Where are the butterflies?" and they point to the flash card with butterflies. So at least we know they "get it" now they just need to "speak it."

Dad has become the official barber of choice -- Mom butchered them once and now I have taken over that responsibility. Spring is arriving -- at last we can get outside. We bought them a kite this past weekend -- I evidently needed a Masters degree to put the thing together. Back in my day, you just added a wooden stick and it flew....I must be getting old.
