We've got Monkeys!!

Have you ever been to the zoo and had to dodge feces being thrown at you by crazed monkeys? Well, that has happened to me before, and more recently at the Evan and Owen Zoo (our house). Well, I am overexaggerting a bit......I didn't have to dodge, but feces were tossed around a room.

Let me explain. Last weekend, the boys were in their cribs playing -- something they like to do. Collette and I were on the other side of the house and Collette noticed it had gotten very quiet in the boys' room. She went to go check on them and I heard a loud scream -- so I too, scurried off to see what was going on. Upon entering the room, it was apparent that Evan had stripped of his diaper and had been throwing the contents of his diaper around the room. Suhweet -- Not!!

Man, sometimes kids can be gross. After 30 minutes of cleaning all was well and our day went forward.

It has been several months since my last post. So many new things, especially with their talking. They learn new words daily and while some of them only Mom and Dad can decipher, they are doing great. We did a road trip in early June and took the boys to the Farm -- drives can be long -- thank goodness for DVD players.

Fourth of July was a lot of fun. We went to the Willard Fireworks display with Aunt Deana and Grandma Dorothy. Evan loved it and Owen --- we'll he said "wow" alot, but it was a nervous "wow."

Owen loves to go around and hold up "Two" fingers and lets us know he is two years old. Owen is extremely agressive and poor Evan tolerates the abuse very well. One of these days Evan will realize he is bigger and Owen will be in trouble.

Many challenges await...the potty training has started...not much success yet. They are a ton of fun and a lot of work. We average about 8 timeouts a day. Owen usually has 7 of the 8 -- he is definitely the defiant one.

Until later....
